Quick And Easy Work Make Up

Work tutorial
So you get called into work last minute and you’re not the slightest bit ready, what do you do?
This is exactly what’s been happening to me the last few weeks, I’m chilling in my pjs and then all of a sudden work wants me in, in half hour! I’ve gotten my last minute work make up down to a T now and I’ll wear it even when I’m not rushing for work. I like to go basic but put together, and this is how I achieve that look.
Face
I start off by using a small pump of my Match Perfection Foundation and blend that all over my face. I then take collections lasting perfection concealer and apply that under my eyes to highlight and cover any darkness. Next ill powder which I think is essential for work as you’ll most probably be working hard and sweating. To complete the face I’ll apply a little bit of NYC’s Smooth Skin Bronzer and a bit of Sleeks Rose Gold blush on the apples of my cheeks.

Eyes
This is my favourite part, it’s SO easy but looks as though it’s taken a while, all I did was take a beautiful brown eyeshadow with gold glitters in  and blended that all over my lid, crease and under my eye. Then just applied a quick coat of the Rimmel Wonder’ful mascara the eye look is finished!
Lips
I like something natural but long lasting for work so I took a collection cream puff matte lip cream in cotton candy. This stuff sort of dries on your lips and stains them for around 5 hours which is great for work when you have no time for touch ups.

Mac Rebel

Mac rebel mac rebel
Ahhh I finally have this little beauty, the very first Mac lipstick that I wanted. This is, in my opinion a lipstick shade that would suit everyone as long as you have the confidence to rock a bold lip. Mac’s Rebel is a pinky mid toned purple shade with a satin finish which gives it an almost glossy look on the lips. It’s the most perfect Autumn/Winter shade and I already know that i’m going to be wearing it to death for the rest of this year. Rebel is a long lasting lipstick, but because of this is does have the tendency to feel drying after a few hours wear so it’s best to make sure you have conditioned lips before applying it. mac rebel DSCF0259Rebel is the sort of shade that can be worn with any make up look and works great day or night. I like to wear it with a matte smokey eye for a day time look, and then if I want to go all out at night, I’ll wear it with a intense, glittery smokey eye and killer lashes. If you are the sort of person who is scared of wearing a dark lip but wants to try, I think Rebel is the perfect one to start with as it is really easy to apply and looks good no matter what your skin tone. Oh and it smells amazing!
Have you tried Mac’s Rebel?

A Day In London

London DSCF0163 DSCF0203 DSCF0207 DSCF0198 DSCF0184 DSCF0189 DSCF0170 DSCF0191 DSCF0194 DSCF0210 DSCF0227 DSCF0233 DSCF0237 DSCF0240 DSCF0244So I visited London on Thursday and had such a great time. I’ve been wanting to do some more lifestyle posts along side my usual make up posts for a while now, and I thought this would be a great way to start.
Whilst in London I visited the Ripleys museum which is home to all things weird and unusal, as you can see from the pictures they had wa figures of the worlds tallest man and the worlds fattest woman. They also had an electric chair simulator there which shows a figure being electrocute, very scary, and a mirror maze. After this I visited China Town and Lester Square for the first time which was amazing! Then I went on to Covent Garden which is one of my favourite places, the Christmas decorations were up too which made it look even prettier. Whilst there i couldn’t resist the amazing Mac shop that is in Covent Garden, and I FINALLY picked up Rebel lipstick which is SO SO amazing! Keep your eyes peeled for a post on it next week.
Where is your favourite place in London?

Mini Beauty Haul

Mini Haul

I picked up a few new bits and bobs to try out recently, so I thought i’d put a post together to show you all what I got. First of all, I was in desperate need of a new mascara as all my old ones keep drying up. The last two I have bought have been high end ones and over £25 each, although they were both good mascaras, they just didn’t last long enough to justify spending that much on. I picked up the Rimmel Wonder’ful mascara to try out instead and so far i’m really impressed with it. I also picked up a Liz Earle eye pencil in dark brown and a pencil sharpener. I’ve never tried anything from Liz Earle so i’m excited to try this out, if it’s any good i’ll do a little review on it for you guys. If you’re a regular reader of my blog you’ll know that I’ve been getting oiler skin as of lately, and my regular Maybeline powder just isn’t controlling the excess oil throughout the day, so I decided to try a different one. I’m constantly hearing good things about Bare Minerals powders, so I go the mineral veil powder to try out, I’ve not used it yet but i’m really excited to. Last but not least I got a new eyebrow brush, I got this one from eBay so i’m not actually sure if it’s genuine Benefit, but it does the job. Follow on Bloglovin
