Mini Beauty Haul

I went to Cardiff a few days ago and picked up some new things that I thought I’d share with you. I visited the new 5 floor primark (heaven) and got some basic tops and a jacket which aren’t worth showing and I also went to Mac & Debenhams.

I picked up these really pretty necklaces in Primark for £1.50 and they look really cute worn together with a simple top. I wore them yesterday and I think I’ll be getting a lot of wear out of them. Primark jewellery is great for the price!

I FINALLY got the Mac Pro LongWear Concealer! I had a £2 off Mac voucher so I got this for £15 in the shade NC15. I’ve been wanting to try it out forever and I’m so impressed. I’ve used it once so far and you literally need the smallest amount to highlight and cover your under eyes, it doesn’t crease and you get a good amount of product for the price.

I said in my last favourites post that I was loving the Estée Lauder Sumptuous Extreme Mascara, that I got a sample of and since then it’s run out. As I loved it so much I picked up a full sized version in waterproof as my mascara always seems to smudge in the summer months. I absolutely love the mascara but I really don’t like how hard it is to get off. Even with an eye make up remover I was sat tugging at my lashes for at least five minutes.

Lastly I picked up a new perfume as I’ve been running really low on scents. I fancied getting something different so I tried the Ted Baker Cate Purse Spray. It smells like vanilla and berries which I love and is really feminine.
Small Drugstore Haul

I’ve picked up a few new items in the last week or so and I thought I’d share them with you.
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation
You probably all know about my love for this foundation by now and I’ve recently run out, so whilst in Asda a few days ago I seen they were having a massive 50% off on Rimmel products. The Match Perfection foundation was only around £4.49 so of course I had to get it! I got the shade 103 true ivory which matches my skin perfectly.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer
Again another holy grail product of mine that I had to repurchase. I had enough boots points to not have to pay a penny for this which is a huge bonus! I noticed they’ve changed the packaging since the last time I bought it, I’m just hoping the formula hasn’t been changed!
Collection Deluxe Lipstick in 02 Talullah
I seen this lipstick being used in a YouTube tutorial a few months ago and it looked like the perfect pink lip colour. Whilst at the Collection stand I couldn’t resist picking it up, and at £2.99 it’s a steal!

Nivea Daily Essentials Sensitive Night Cream
I’ve been looking for a good night cream for a while now and have been finding it difficult to find one that doesn’t burn my sensitive skin. I found this one in my local supermarket at around £4 I think and I’ve used it a few times since. It’s thick but not greasy and best of all doesn’t affect my sensitive skin!
Collection Lasting Gel Nail Polish in Stormy Grey
I’ve been looking for the perfect nude nail varnish for a while now and this colour caught my eye whilst picking up a new concealer. The formula looks really glossy (seeing as it’s a gel polish) which I like and the colour is just what is was looking for.
Nars Eye Cream
I didn’t pick this up myself as it was a gift from my mother but I thought I would include it. I’ve only used this once so far but I’m really impressed! the consistency is quite light and I feel like it brightens up my under eye straight away. I’m thinking of doing a more in depth blog post on this product after I’ve used it for a few weeks so stay tuned.
Elf Haul
Last weekend I saw that Elf were doing a huge 50% off their whole collection as a part of an Easter promotion, and I couldn’t resist. I placed an order for £32 but had it for around £18 which is an absolute bargain! I got some stuff that I’ve been meaning to try for a while now and I can’t wait to try them out.
I got 3 brushes, a pointed foundation brush for using cream bronzers and a flat top foundation brush both from the studio line, I also got a fan brush from the normal elf range to use with highlighter. I’ve heard great things about the elf studio line brushes and I can tell why, both the brushes are extremely soft and I can’t wait to try them out. The regular elf line brushes however don’t seem as soft but I’m sure it’ll do the job for highlighting.
The next thing I got was the Mineral Face Infused Primer, I haven’t tried this out yet but I’m looking forward to as I’ve heard great stuff about it. According to the box it’s supposed to get rid of any dryness and fill in your pores, I’ll be sure to do a review once I’ve tried it out.
I also picked up 3 of the Elf lipsticks in seductive, flirtatious and charming all of which are pinky shades as I feel like I don’t own many everyday pink lipsticks and for 1.95 you can’t go wrong!
As I wear a lot of lipsticks and am constantly battling dry flaky lips so I thought I’d try the Elf Lip Exfoliator, I tried this as soon as I opened it and I love it already! It’s in a lipstick like tube and feels like your applying sugar to your lips, it not only tastes amazing but leaves your lips free from dry skin and ready for any lipstick!
The last thing I ordered was a mineralise blush from the studio line, after reading reviews I decided to get pinktastic as it works brilliantly as a highlighter, I’ve swatched this and it’s a stunning gold colour with small specks of rose gold. I think this will look beautiful on the skin!
Elf were also offering 2 free gifts with every purchase over £15 so on top of everything I ordered I got a free lipgloss and a mineral eyeshadow. Thanks Elf!

Mac & Chanel Haul
Last week I went to London & Birmingham, whilst there I took full advantage of the shops amd picked up a few bits and bobs.
I ventured into Chanel for the first time in my life in Covent Garden, and to my surprise they were actually really friendly and were joking around with me about my strong a Welsh accent. I ended up picking up a full size of the Le Volume De Channel, I got a sample size of this and fell in love as it made my short lashes (because of getting lash extensions a few months ago 😦 ) bold and the longest I’ve ever seen them, so even though £25 seems a lot for a mascara it was totally worth it!

After spending around half hour drooling over the stuff in Chanel I rushed over to the Mac shop (I only had 20 minutes until my coach came) and asked them what foundation they recommend for dry skin, I’ve tried studio fix fluid before and even though I loved it, my skin has since gotten drier and it tends to stick to my dry spots now. The Mac lady suggested I try the Mineralize Moisture Foundation in Nc15 (I usually get nc20 so another new for me) she quickly tested it against my skin and it matched perfectly! So obviously I had to get! >
I also decided to pick up a Mac Lipstick in Creme Cup whilst in Selfridges in Birmingham after hearing so many good things about it. It’s a huge change for me as I’m usually a bold lip gal but I’m excited to try it out (expect a blogpost on it soon!)
Have you picked up anything new lately?
